Below are links to popular topics (100+ separate threads) on the forum. Posts here go way back to 2002, when we had a handful of posts and a thimble full of members, though it grew quite quickly, particularly when people started creating multiple ID's to support their assertions - a practice which has now been stopped (to the best of my knowledge).The forum has taken on a life of its own, and is not really like I envisaged. 'In the beginning' we had separate fora for discussions on homeopathic theory or people wanting advice from a homeopath, or a veterinary homeopath, but in practice all the posts ended up together, and a thread about an individual case often changed direction into a debate on theory, so the walls came down and there are no longer any subdivisions. The role of individual posters is also very different to the original plan; as I'd imagined it, people would do an equal amount of asking and answering where they could. As it is, there are a minority of posters who answer a majority of questions, and most members ask rather than answer; this would never work without the humbling dedication a few regulars have shown to helping people who post their problems here. No forum members receive any form of payment from ABC Homeopathy for their efforts, and all have helped shape the site into what it is today.
The debates have often become quite heated. It never seems like it at the time, but it is a positive thing that people feel so passionate about their point of view, and that they want to share it, and often by exploring issues in debate, understandings have been reached. For my part, I have said my piece, which disagrees with many members, and then striven to stay out of the way and only intervene when someone steps over the line. It is a forum after all, and not my personal soap box. I have tried to remain impartial in doing this, and maybe I have managed this, as both sides have complained that I haven't.
